Frankenstein is a custom guitar built by Eddie Van Halen to combine Gibson’s PAF humbucker tone with Fender Stratocaster playability and tremolo. It uses one potted PAF in the bridge, mounted offset for string spacing, wired through a single 500k pot labelled 'TONE' and an output jack. No tone controls. No working selector. Middle and neck positions hold non-functional parts. It delivers aggressive, feedback-resistant lead tone — nothing else.
