Fostex D-80
Fostex
The Fostex D-80 is a dynamic, cardioid microphone built for singing and trumpet. It handles high sound pressure like an SM58 — but delivers a 'crunchy', 1980s-evoking sound the user found in an attic. It offers no features beyond its fixed polar pattern and raw output. It belongs only where that specific texture is the goal.
