Fulltone Fulldrive 2
The Fulltone Fulldrive 2 is a hand-wired analog overdrive/booster pedal introduced in 1996. It gives players four knobs, two footswitches, and two 3-way toggles to shape tone, drive, boost, voicing, and clipping. It excels at delivering three distinct tonal identities — clean boost, mid-boosted overdrive, and flat-mid transparency — from one circuit. It falls short where independence and expandability matter: Boost requires overdrive to be active, and it offers no rack option, no buffered bypass, and no external control. It belongs in the hands of guitarists who want tactile, analog tonal switching — not those building a programmable, integrated rig.
