Electric Mistress

Electro-Harmonix · 1976

The Electric Mistress is an analog flanger from Electro-Harmonix, first sold in 1976 and the first flanger in pedal format. Every version after the first blue and red one has a Filter Matrix mode that freezes the flange at any point for chime-like tones. The Deluxe version is still in production, and NEO Mistress and Stereo Electric Mistress are digital recreations.

Small Stone Records

Electro-Harmonix · 1995

The Small Stone is a 4-stage analog phaser pedal introduced by Electro-Harmonix in 1974. Designed by David Cockerell, it became central to Jean-Michel Jarre’s sound and was later reissued in a Nano chassis. Its simplicity — one knob, two modes — gives immediate, expressive motion but no depth control, no buffered bypass, and no digital features.

Big Muff

Electro-Harmonix · 1969

The Big Muff Pi is a 1969 fuzz effects pedal with four transistors, two soft-clipping stages, and a tone stack that scoops mids when centred. It delivers smooth, saturated, bass-heavy sustain at any volume—making small amps sound bigger. It was intended to mimic Hendrix but became heavier and more distinctive. It does not offer gain staging, midrange recovery, or dynamic clean-up.
